HAPPY CNY EVERYONE!!
CNY's around the corner and yeah..time for ang baos!
The sudden gut feeling of reminiscing on everything in life brought me back to where I am when I was a kid..
Each year as we grow older, the $$ in the angbaos we recieved never changed much
but the older we get the less insignificant the amount gets
8yrs old- WHAAA so much $$ IM GONNA SAVE ALL OF IT UP!!!!!!
12yrs old- I'm gonna take half on it and spend it on trading cards and CD games!!
15yrs old- oh yeah! great kickstart of the year a month or more without having the need to worry about money.LET'S GO SHOP PLAY POOL DRINK AND SHOP AGAIN!
18yrs old- damn, only the 5th day of cny and I've lost almost half of it on gambling..oh well, just have to go back to work
As kids, the only stress we face is making angbao lanterns and bring it to school the next week. where we spend 1-2hours completing our homework before turning on to cartoon network while holding on to our favourite robot toy..
right now. There's so many things more to worry about. The present,the future..what we gon' do when we grow up. How's life being thrown to the working society.. Just heard that my mum went to pray to Guan Yin so that I'll have directions in life instead of wandering or bumming away my life.

I miss being a kid..where being satisfied is so much simpler
